Rebates are one of my favorite ways to get items for free. Most require you to submit a receipt and UPC. Make sure you click the links below and read each rebate. Every rebate has it own unique directions. Most also do not mention coupons so in some cases you may make money on the item if you use a coupon in conjunction with the rebate. Rebates do require you to pay upfront, submit the rebate and wait for the check, rewards card or whichever means of reward in the mail. Usually it takes 6-12 weeks to receive the rebate. Biggest tip is to make copies of all rebates before you mail them out and keep an inventory of all rebates. I mark on my calendar when I should expect to receive the rebates. If I do not receive the rebate by the week my calendar says I should have received it, I will pull out my copy of the rebate and contact the company.
