Here is a list of the grocery stores in Hawaii:

Foodland :

  • Accepts manufacturer coupons.
  • Regardless of what coupon(s) states, Foodland will only accept 4 like coupons per Shopping Trip.
  • Here is Foodland’s coupon policy.

  • Download the Foodland smartphone mobile app for sales ads at your finger tips and exclusive coupons!
  • Foodland’s, Sack N Save (Maika’i card) Earn 1 point per $1 spent. 250 points will save you 5% off future grocery purchase. Also from time to time there will be specials where you show your Maika’i card and you get discounts.
  • These are the Maika’i Perks.
  • Save your certificates for larger items.
  • Depending on the store manager you may be able to use expired Maika’i Certificates.
  • Always has a Thanksgiving Turkey free with certificate so try to time your Maika’i Certificates correctly around the holidays.
  • Foodland does not allow STACKING but does allow you to use a reward – My Rewards Certificate and a coupon.  This is not considered stacking as you pay into a reward to earn the reward.  A reward is not a coupon!
  • $.05 Reusable Bag Credit per bag used.
  • Offers Rain Checks when items are out of stock and are on sale. Rain checks are good for 30 days from issued date. If you go back in the store before your rain check expires within like a couple of days and the item is still not in stock, go to Customer Service and ask for a rain check extension.  They will usually do this for an additional 30 days. 

Safeway :

  • Accepts manufacturer coupons.  
  • You can stack Safeway coupons with manufacturer coupons. You can load Safeway coupons onto your Safeway Just For You Rewards Card.
  • You can tell a difference when loading coupons because Safeway coupons are actual price and manufacturer loadable coupons is $ off a purchase.
  • Another way you can tell is if you look at the fourth tab down it states My Card under the Just 4 You Tab – Click on that and notice that you have coupons listed that is loaded on your card. The Type column will tell you it is a manufacturer’s coupon if it is one!
  •  The one thing that is different about Safeway’s coupon policy is that they will not allow coupons on free items, for example if you have an item that is on a B1G1 free sale you can only use 1 coupon.

  • Rain Checks are issued when items are advertised and out of stock.  Rain Checks are good for 90 days.

Times Supermarket :

  • Also known as Times Supermarket, Big Save Markets, Shima’s Market and Fujioka’s Wine Times.
  • Allows stacking a manufacturer coupon with a store coupons.
  • Check Sales ad for manufacturer coupons and/or store coupons.
  • The Entertainment book has Times coupons which can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.
  • Bring your reusable bags and remind them to give you $.03 credit.
  • HERE is Times Supermarkets Coupon Policy.
  • Gives Rain Checks if sale item is no longer available.  Rain Checks are valid 30 days from date issued.

Don Quijote :

  • Accepts manufacturer coupons.
  • Does not accept printed internet coupons.
  • Check sales ad for manufacturer coupons.
  • Does NOT accept coupons for higher value than the price of the item.

Tamura’s Market :

  • Accepts manufacturer coupons
  • Here is Tamura’s Coupon Policy.
  • Does not accept printed internet coupons.
  • Great Sales ad because the sales ad is 2 weeks longs.  This allows you to go to Coupon Swap or trade coupons and allows enough time for the mail for you to still take advantage of the deals!

Down to Earth:

  • Accepts manufacturer coupons.  
  • Here is the link to the customer reward program. Every 300 points can be redeemed for $5 towards purchases from Down to Earth store.  Points do NOT expire. 

Whole Foods Market:

  • Accepts manufacturer coupons to be stacked with store coupons.
  • Can stack manufacturer coupons with store coupons.  Has store printable coupons on their website.
  • Newsletter in front of store is loaded with Whole Foods store coupons.

Malama Market:

  • Accepts Manufacturer coupons
  • Does NOT accept printed internet coupons.
Food Pantry:
  • Accepts Manufacturer coupons
  • Does NOT accept printed internet coupons.
